American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring advanced cardiac care skills and ACLS/BLS certification.Job Details•Work in an intensive care unit in a short-term acute care, Magnet-designated, teaching Level I trauma center,•Patient ratio is typically 1:2,•Patient population includes acute heart failure, post-cardiac arrest, CHF exacerbation, cardiogenic shock, arrhythmias, and those requiring advanced cardiac devices,•Care involves managing ventilators, arterial lines, pulmonary artery catheters, pacemakers, impellas, balloon pumps, and LVADs,•Shift is day (4x12 hours, 7:00-19:30) with every other weekend required,•Floating within the service line may be required,•EPIC is used for charting, and EPIC experience is required for this unit,Job Requirements•Active RN license (compact or MO) or pending license accepted for Missouri; Illinois pending license accepted,•Current ACLS and BLS certifications,•BSN required,•Minimum 2 years ICU experience required; cardiac/CVICU experience preferred if less than 2 years,•Specific experience with ICU cardiac/medical devices and interventions is required,•Must pass a Relias EKG exam,•No first-time travelers will be considered,•Candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility,Additional Information•Responsible for advanced management of critically ill cardiac and medical ICU patients,•Must be able to manage and monitor central lines, vasoactive drips, dialysis, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and other advanced therapies,•Shared team environment in a high-acuity, fast-paced setting,•Will receive information about parking during orientation, with various monthly parking options available,•Navy blue scrubs are required,•Return staff policy requires 1 year since prior permanent employment at facility,•Travelers may stay up to 18 months, with a 3-month break required afterward,•No time off is permitted the first week of orientation, with a maximum of 40 hours of RTO allowed during the contract,),•hash,:•11378766094992744815,
