nWhat You Will Do
nAs a Quality Engineer inside of the EHRO Aftermarket Quality Clinic, you will ensure products and processes meet quality and performance standards by monitoring quality control systems. When a quality issue arises, you will encourage a team collaboration effort to determine root cause and corrective actions using the 8D method. Effectively analyze data, identify trends, and develop solutions on quality related issues. In essence, a Quality Engineer in EHRO plays a vital role in ensuring that products are repaired/overhauled to the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.
nKey Responsibilities

Be a technical leader for EHRO (CTRP & CTSC), by providing quality support daily to the shop floor.

Monitor quality activities within the shop and proactively deploy activities to enhance quality signature and encourage product integrity.

Schedule, conduct and document quality reviews when there is a suspected part non-conformance.
n n - n
Effectively initiate and manage quality investigations for customer complaints, vendor issues and shop induced issues.
n n - n
Promote a collaborative team approach regarding all quality issues and opportunities for improvement.
n n - n
Review Process Plan requests and First Article Inspection (FAI's) for technical content, provide feedback to the applicable parties post review.

Help to develop and enforce standardized operating procedures, processes, tools and methods across products under your ownership.

Manage projects and leading business progress, lean manufacturing, project management, quality improvement efforts.

Attend toolbox talks scheduled by cell leaders and discuss quality concerns/opportunities.

Participate in both internal and external audits, provide quality support as needed.

Qualifications You Must Have:
n- n
- Advanced Degree and 1+ year of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Military, Aerospace or Aftermarket industry; OR Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate's degree or Technical Training (A&P/AMT) and 4+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma and 6+ years of relevant industry n
Qualifications We Prefer

Bachelor's degree STEM field ideally in Engineering field.

Quality engineering or materials science background, and experience with root cause investigations, corrective actions and problem-solving tools.

Hands on experience in shop floor processes highly preferred: Machining, Inspection, Special Processes, Blending, Engineering, NDT, Thermal spray etc.

Knowledge of Aerospace manufacturing or Aftermarket (MRO) industry.
n n - n
Experience writing, approving, and issuing work instructions within Solumina environment.
n n - n
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, QCPC and RCCA).

Experience in automated systems such as SAP, AIMS, HQMS

Ability to work and effectively communicate across the organization, as well as suppliers and customers

nThe salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
