Position Summary: Drab to Fab is seeking a highly motivated and client-focused Landscape Maintenance Account Manager to join our rapidly growing team. This pivotal role is responsible for nurturing strong, long-term relationships with our existing clients, ensuring their complete satisfaction with our landscape maintenance services, and identifying opportunities to enhance their outdoor spaces. The Landscape Maintenance Account Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, manage service quality, coordinate with maintenance crews, and drive sales of enhancement solutions, all while upholding Drab to Fab's commitment to eco-friendly practices and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Client Relationship Management & Sales:
  • Maintain timely and proactive communication with existing clients regarding their property needs, service updates, and any concerns.
  • Perform monthly property check-ins to thoroughly assess landscape health, identify potential issues, and evaluate service quality.
  • Conduct quarterly meetings with clients to review service progress, discuss their evolving landscape goals, and present strategic recommendations.
  • Present and effectively sell clients on improved landscape solutions, including smart irrigation timers, new irrigation systems, and more sustainable and suitable plant options.
  • Handle new client consultations, providing detailed estimates and comprehensive service recaps.
  • Resolve client issues ranging from billing discrepancies to complex irrigation system concerns, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolutions.
Operational Oversight & Team Coordination:
  • Create and adjust the weekly maintenance schedule based on crew availability, client needs, and route density optimization.
  • Lead weekly meetings with the maintenance crew to clearly outline upcoming tasks, discuss specific property requirements, and set daily/weekly goals.
  • Add client requests, special instructions, and property updates to the crew application in real-time to ensure seamless communication and execution.
  • Procure necessary supplies and materials for the landscaping maintenance team, ensuring timely availability and cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure all company trucks and equipment are consistently clean, well-maintained, and in proper working order.
  • Remotely adjust irrigation programs to support specific plant needs, optimize water usage, and reflect crew recommendations.
Administrative & Reporting:
  • Review weekly timesheets for accuracy and completeness before they are submitted for client invoicing.
  • Invoice clients on a weekly or monthly basis as appropriate, ensuring billing accuracy.
Qualifications: Required:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of proven experience in a landscape account management, client relations, or similar client-facing role within the landscaping or related service industry.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices, including plant health, pruning, and basic irrigation principles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions clearly.
  • Proficiency in using CRM/project management software (e.g., LMN, Aspire, Salesforce) for scheduling, time tracking, and client management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for scheduling, reporting, and invoicing.
  • Valid California driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and conduct property assessments.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Social Security Number & ability to pass I9 verification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures, safety regulations, and professional standards.
Preferred:
  • Experience with sales or upselling landscape enhancement services.
  • Advanced horticultural knowledge or certifications.
  • Experience with advanced irrigation troubleshooting and programming.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions for property assessments and client meetings.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks as needed, including walking uneven terrain, bending, stooping, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds for materials or equipment.
  • The workplace is non-smoking and drug-free.

Employee Benefits (Eligibility begins after 60 days of full-time employment averaging 32+ hours/week, with some benefits for part-time employees averaging 20+ hours/week):

Compensation:
  • Annual Salary: $75,000 - $110,000, depending on experience, with a performance-based bonus structure.
