Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Evaluate and update current SOPs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across engineering operations.
- Coordinate with stakeholders during SOP development and implementation.
- Train department staff on SOP implementation.
- Analyze engineering and operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain project-level cost forecasts by working with cross-disciplinary groups within the Engineering Department.
- Develop and maintain department overhead cost forecasts.
- Assist in developing and managing Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the Engineering Department.
- Distribute surveys to gather feedback from stakeholders and analyze results to inform policy and procedural changes.
- Assist in the development and rollout of new policies and procedures based on data insights and operational needs.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and implement automation tools to improve efficiency.
- Analyze and evaluate permitting processes to identify opportunities for simplification and acceleration.
- Serve as a liaison between engineering and other departments to ensure alignment and procedural consistency.
- Assist with Engineering of Record (EOR) procurement and contract preparation.
- Support the development of RFPs, RFQs, and contract documents in coordination with legal and project teams.
- Assist with resource planning and workload management across the engineering team.
- Attend meetings and track action items to ensure follow-through and accountability.
- Lead meetings and facilitate effective communication.
- Perform administrative tasks including scheduling, document management, and internal communications.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, Engineering Management, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in engineering, operations, or analyst role with increasing responsibility.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar data analysis tools.
- Experience with workflow automation tools (e.g., Power Automate) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.
- Familiarity with permitting processes and regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Experience supporting contract negotiations and budget planning.
- Leadership in meeting facilitation and cross-functional collaboration.
