Job Title: Business Intelligence Engineer - Intermediate Job Family: Information Technology Job Code: 120 Date Created/Updated : January 2022 Summary: The salary range for this role is $90k to $108k Annually The BI Engineer Intermediate is responsible for building, implementing, and supporting enterprise data solutions. The right individual will possess experience in all stages of project delivery and support (requirements, logical and physical design, implementation, testing and deployment). The BI Engineer Intermediate should have a firm grasp of BI/Data Warehouse technologies and will have had in-depth experience with the Microsoft BI Stack (SQL, SSIS, SSRS and SSAS). Duties and Responsibilities: Participate in data gathering, research, and analytical abilities to develop insightful conclusions and generate solutions to address user needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for effective delivery and support of data solutions. Create written communication materials that effectively summarize findings and support recommendations. Contribute to quality assurance and user acceptance testing strategies by writing test plans and participating in the execution of testing (Unit and UAT). Education and Experience: 3+ years Business Intelligence experience. BA/BS degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related experience. Required Skills: The BI Engineer Intermediate should possess proven understanding and expertise in various BI technologies. The engineer must have demonstrated experience with the Microsoft BI stack; exposure to other technologies is a plus (HaloBI, PowerBI, Tableau, Oracle, SAP BW, SAP Business Objects, etc.). Competency Requirements 3+ years of database design and integration experience with SQL Server databases. Relational Database and SQL language experience. Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) experience (Microsoft SSIS). Working knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices (Agile). Query/Solution performance tuning and optimization. Troubleshooting and incident resolution. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Skills Understanding of Master Data Management concepts. Experience with heterogenous data integration methodologies such as transmitting JSON/XML data via a REST API. C# programming experience. Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Snowflake, etc.). *This is a n exempt role, paid a salary wage .
