TERM LIMITED POSITION: This position is term limited with an anticipated end date of approximately one year from the date of hire. This position is eligible for State employee benefits and may be extended as the situation warrants. The Developer II (Salesforce) supports the mission by providing customization development enhancements and support for platform including Lightning Components, Visualforce, and Apex classes and triggers. This position supports the Colorado Department of Early Childhood. Important Duties

Consult with Solution Architects, Solution Engineers, and others as appropriate to design Salesforce applications in line with OIT strategies. Facilitate design workshops/customer experience workshops and define future state environments utilizing a multi-phased implementation strategy/roadmap based on findings and potential benefits. Organize, build, and validate all segments of the code related to a specific build (release) for final User Acceptance Testing. Determine the best approach in the development of an application's code to meet the customer's current requirements and anticipate future enhancement needs. Implement changes to Salesforce platform and ensure all changes adhere to Change Management policies and protocols established by OIT, particularly related to implementing production system changes. Minimum Qualifications

2 years of hands-on programming experience in applications development. Experience applying digital accessibility regulations and standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1) to business processes, content, tools, and/or documents, with the ability to provide specific examples of accessibility improvements made. Substitutions

Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications. Training or Certification related to the work assigned to the position will be assigned credit towards substitution for experience and/or education, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications. If the minimum qualifications include a degree requirement, additional appropriate paid or unpaid experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Qualifications

1+ years experience in developing applications in Salesforce within the past 4 years. 1+ years experience Visual Studio or Salesforce front-end experience is preferred within the past 3 years. 3+ years experience working with release/configuration management. Skilled in software release and change management processes. Proficiency in time and task management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and Microsoft Visio or the Google equivalent of this tool suite. 1 year experience of ETL development. Salesforce Administrator Certificate. 1 year release/configuration management or completion of formal training. 1 year cloud development experience. 1 year technical Liaison experience.
