Connsci is seeking a Vulnerability Analyst to lead vulnerability posture analysis, reporting, and remediation tracking across DoD installations. This role supports FISMA scorecard reporting and enhances the ability to visualize, prioritize, and respond to cyber risk.
In this role you can expect to:
Serve as the primary analyst responsible for aggregating and correlating vulnerability data across all bases and GSUs.
Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations that reflect the current theater-wide vulnerability posture using data from ACAS, SCCM/MECM, and other endpoint tools.
Coordinate directly with Wing-level ISSMs and base cyber teams to verify asset exposure, patch status, and STIG compliance.
Provide actionable reports and executive summaries to senior cyber leaders to support decision-making and inspection readiness.
Support POA&M development and lifecycle tracking related to critical vulnerabilities and patch deficiencies.
Work collaboratively with Cyber SMEs and government personnel to tailor vulnerability remediation strategies based on mission impact and asset criticality.
Ensure cyber hygiene metrics are accurate and aligned to DoD/FISMA reporting standards.
Basic Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI security clearance per federal stipulation
At least 5 years of experience in vulnerability management, cyber analytics, or cybersecurity operations within DoD or military environments
DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification (CISSP, CASP+, CISA, or equivalent)
At least 2 years of experience with ACAS/Nessus, SCCM/MECM, and STIG Viewer
At least 2 years of experience developing dashboards and data visualizations using vulnerability scan outputs
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field
Familiarity with USAF FISMA scorecard metrics and cyber hygiene KPIs
Experience coordinating cyber operations across distributed or theater-wide environments
Ability to interpret scan data and correlate it to mission risk
Strong written and verbal communication skills to support briefings and reports
Travel Requirement:
This position will require up to 40% travel across the Indo-Pacific region (Japan, Korea, Alaska, Guam, Diego Garcia)
