Job Description Title: Sr. SharePoint Designer Location: Minneapolis, MN Duration: 6+ months We are seeking a SharePoint Designer for a project in Minneapolis, MN. The position is estimated to start on 5/18/2015 and end on 11/30/2015. The role involves designing and implementing SharePoint collaboration sites for sharing information among staff, including Leadership, Project Management, Business Analysts, Developers, Quality Assurance Analysts, and Support Analysts. The goal is to create sustainable, organized sites for long-term document sharing, collaboration, alerts, workflows, and other identified needs. The consultant will provide design leadership and knowledge transfer to Site Owners and Site Collection Administrators, ensuring they can maintain the sites effectively and maximize SharePoint 2013 features such as searching, archiving, sharing, versioning, performance, content management, workflows, check-in/check-out, and security. The client has no prior experience in designing collaboration sites; hence, the consultant's role includes ensuring the design meets departmental needs and training Site Owners and Administrators for ongoing maintenance. They will work closely with these stakeholders to gather requirements and implement effective solutions. Qualifications The candidate should: Be an expert in designing and implementing SharePoint 2013 sites, community sites, and project sites. Provide guidance to Site Owners to leverage SharePoint 2013 features fully. Assist in gathering site requirements as needed. Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and technical staff. Pilot SharePoint sites with users to gather feedback and make improvements before launch. Lead build efforts for site development. Guide the client in developing at least two collaboration sites into production. Help develop one or more out-of-the-box workflows for the sites.
