We are seeking a talented Network Development Engineer to play a crucial role in the implementation and optimization of enterprise networks that support our manufacturing facilities, research labs, launch sites, and mission operations centers. Your mission will be to ensure high availability, performance, and security of network infrastructure while providing critical support for a diverse range of clients, including individual households, businesses, and government agencies in areas lacking reliable connectivity. Key Responsibilities: Deploy and maintain complex network solutions in manufacturing and lab settings. Ensure robust network operations that support launch and mission activities. Troubleshoot and resolve intricate routing and performance issues. Implement and manage change control processes for network modifications. Develop and maintain comprehensive operational procedures and technical documentation. Lead initiatives focused on capacity planning and performance optimization. Enhance monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue detection. Mentor junior engineers on best practices and troubleshooting techniques. Drive automation initiatives to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for critical infrastructure support. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee network reliability for mission-critical operations. A Day in the Life: Your day will start by reviewing network monitoring alerts from various operational sites. You'll analyze traffic patterns, forecast capacity needs, and plan network expansion for new lab and launch spaces. Engage in deploying network solutions and troubleshooting any routing issues while mentoring team members on deployments. You'll also manage change initiatives, document modifications, and ensure high availability and security throughout the network. Basic Qualifications: 4+ years of experience with major internet routing protocols. 4+ years working in a Linux/Unix environment. 1+ years of automation scripting experience using Python, Bash, Shell, or Perl. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with AWS and networking products like Direct Connect and Transit Gateway. This position requires employees to work in the company's office five days a week, and it includes up to 25% business travel. You will need to be a U.S. citizen to comply with government requirements related to the nature of the work. Compensation: The base pay ranges from $127,400/year in our lowest geographic market to $212,800/year in our highest. Pay is based on several factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional forms of compensation, including equity and sign-on bonuses, may be provided.
