Join Our Team as a Digital Media Software Support Engineer!

The Digital Media Technology group is responsible for innovative digital products, including Amazon Kindle, Digital Video, Audio, Music, Audible, and Digital Text. We offer a unique opportunity to work with diverse rich media ingestion technologies and processes that push the boundaries of digital media.
Responsibilities:
Provide first-level support for tickets filed in Audible.
Conduct thorough troubleshooting and debugging of incoming tickets, managing responsibilities across various product lines.
Maintain coding projects, focusing on Perl or shell scripts, web technologies, and Java-based projects.
Analyze complex application code to implement necessary fixes for support issues.
Support software deployment processes in both staging and production environments.
Develop tools that assist with operational and maintenance tasks.
Generate system and support status reports.
Take ownership of one or more digital products or components.
Coordinate customer notifications and workflows to ensure adherence to service level agreements.
Collaborate with the Audible engineering team to seamlessly manage active support issues and develop a team-specific knowledge base.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
4+ years of development or technical support experience.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and pinpoint root causes in complex technical systems.
Experience with Perl or shell scripts and web application development.
Development experience with Python, Ruby, NodeJS, C, Java, or open source technologies.
Strong familiarity with UNIX/Linux operating systems and tools.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience managing high severity incident calls.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with enterprise-level large-scale n-tier applications.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a commitment to operational excellence.
Knowledge of distributed and enterprise applications.
