Alongside quantitative researchers in the Investment Group, you will be working on engineering financial quantitative models and portfolio construction optimization strategies used for various investment management activities. Role Overview The Quant Engineer based in downtown Los Angeles or Irvine, CA partners with quantitative researchers and technology teams to design, engineer, build, test, and maintain complex quantitative models used for investment management. Essential skills include strong engineering and quantitative abilities, translating models into software, validating models through experiments, understanding capital markets, and learning new technologies. Responsibilities Model complex problems, discover insights, and identify opportunities using statistics, algorithms, and data mining. Qualifications Advanced Degree preferred in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields. At least 3-5 years of experience in an analyst or development role working with quantitative models. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with tools like R, Python, MATLAB, etc. Ability to translate business objectives into models and validate them. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Data analysis skills using SQL are a plus. Experience with cloud technologies, AI, and ML are additional advantages. Compensation Southern California Base Salary Range: $153,965-$246,344. Includes performance bonuses, profit sharing, and a retirement plan with 15% company contribution.
