Cyber Security Analyst

Join to apply for the Cyber Security Analyst role at UICGS / Bowhead Family of Companies . Bowhead seeks an experienced Cyber Threat Analyst to join our team in Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, tracking, and reporting relevant events, types, and sources to the correct departments. This highly skilled individual will work alongside Computer Network Defense (CND) Incident Responders and Cybersecurity Engineers. The Cyber Threat Analyst will collect, normalize, and analyze cyber incident and event data to identify malicious activities such as intrusions, attacks, or data loss, and warn of hostile threats against DoD information systems. Responsibilities Analyze warning intelligence information and share notifications with customers. Identify potential impacts by analyzing reports and reverse engineering malware to determine indicators of compromise (IOCs). Evaluate IOCs to link them to known exploitation groups and investigate related infrastructure for proactive defense. Assist customers in preventing or mitigating cyber-attacks by developing and sharing countermeasures. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Minimum of Security+ certification; CEH certification within 90 days of start. At least 5 years of Linux and Networking experience, 3 years with IDS/IPS, and 2 years with malware analysis tools. Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++. 2+ years of Python programming experience. Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office. Effective communication skills, including presentation and public speaking. Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment. Security clearance at Top Secret and SCI eligibility or ability to obtain SCI is required. Physical demands include lifting up to 25 pounds, standing, walking, twisting, bending, and squatting.
