For more information visit Job Description Develop new software, and upgrade / maintain existing software to meet customer and project requirements for the Driver Training Solutions driving simulators. Candidate will work on small software engineering team as well as independently to accomplish assigned tasks. Duties include testing, integrating and documenting assigned projects. Will work primarily out of the Driver Training Solutions building located in Salt Lake City, UT. The successful candidate will work in small development teams that are tasked with implementing new features and capabilities planned for inclusion in the simulation-based training products. Work involves developing and maintaining software applications related to automotive simulation, primarily using C# and C++ on the Windows operating system. The work will consist of developing new software and upgrading existing software to meet customer and project requirements using software engineering standards and tools. This also involves unit testing, system integration, and creating and maintaining software documentation. Essential Functions Develop new software, upgrade and maintain existing software to meet customer and project requirements for the Driver Training Solutions driving simulator product line Work with a small software engineering team as well as independently to accomplish assigned tasks Work well in an agile environment with little supervision Integrate with hardware and other software modules Ground-up implementation, including code design, creation, implementation, testing and documentation Qualifications BS in Computer Science or closely related discipline Experience (6+ years) developing high frame rate object-oriented C++ / C# applications in the Windows OS environment or 4+ years of experience with graduate degree Solid understanding of multi-paradigm and modern C++ practices. Experience with real-time application development, including threading Background in GUI design or 3D graphics Good written and verbal communications skills Preferred Additional Skills Experience with Epic Unreal Engine integration Experience with 3D graphics rendering engine programming and API's Knowledge of physical modeling (physics-based code) Acron Aviation also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.
