POSITION DESCRIPTION: Pioneering Evolution is seeking aMid-Level Software Developer to contribute to the development of a Marine Corps software platform'smodernized .NET Corestack. The Mid-Level Developer will work closely withthe Lead and Senior Developers, assisting in feature development, troubleshooting, and code optimization. This role requires a strong understanding development, API design, and software engineering best practices.This position requiresa Secret Clearanceand is based in theWashington D.C. metro area, withon-site requirements as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, maintain, and Core applications, working withinAWS Fargate-based containerized environments. Write efficient, maintainable, and well-documentedC# code, implementing best practices inRESTful API development. Assist insoftware design and review technical specifications, contributing ideas for architectural improvements. Participate incode reviews and testing efforts, ensuring high-quality code delivery. Work withSQL databases (AWS RDS - SQL Server, PostgreSQL), writing queries and optimizing performance. Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance bottlenecks. Provide guidance to junior developersthrough collaborative problem-solving, peer code reviews, and technical discussions. Take ownership of feature implementations and actively participate in Agile development processes. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in software development, with proficiency Core, C#, and Core. Experience working withRESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Strong SQL skills, with experience inAWS RDS (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL). Experience with containerized applications(Docker, AWS Fargate preferred). Familiarity withGit and Git branching strategies. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. security clearance; therefore, U.S. citizenship is required. DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS). Experience with DevOps practicesandCI/CD tools (AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins). Knowledge of unit testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD). Experience working in Agile development environments.
