Job Overview As a Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA), you will tackle complex system challenges and innovate solutions utilizing the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology employed by our organization. You'll lead a team of analysts and coordinate with business stakeholders, developers, and project teams to ensure our initiatives align with organizational goals. Your expertise will guide the definition and documentation of requirements for modifications to our claims systems. Key Responsibilities Understand and validate business requirements, ensuring IT Business Requirement Specifications meet acceptance criteria before approval. Document system enhancement scopes for projects. Act as a mentor and subject matter expert for the Claims IT team, providing leadership and cross-training on system requirements. Develop work plans and estimates based on project scopes, leading discussions on scope management and prioritization. Interview stakeholders to gather and document intricate business needs for changes in claims system applications and define detailed system requirements. Engage in solution discussions with project teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of requirements and secure sign-offs on project deliverables. Facilitate design reviews between IT and business stakeholders, addressing questions about the requested software changes, and participate in reviewing test cases with Quality Assurance and UAT teams. Lead challenging projects that navigate significant ambiguity, driving teams toward resolution. Direct the work of analysts and stakeholders on major initiatives, analyzing and recommending features for phased execution in collaboration with business leaders. Document project scope, resource needs, dependencies, and priorities when managing group projects requiring multiple analysts. Promote and enhance business systems analyst practices throughout the Claims IT team and organization. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 5 years of functional system requirements analysis experience. Authorization to work in the United States without the need for a visa or sponsorship. Additional Qualifications Experience with SQL and data analysis. Creative problem-solving skills with a track record in conflict management and consensus-building. Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments. Self-motivated and able to work independently on complex assignments while guiding a team. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) or healthcare, with knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA and/or PCI). Understanding of security implications within the domain. Proficient in tools such as Visio, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. Physical Requirements Willingness to travel between Prime locations as necessary. Flexibility to work outside of core business hours when required. Ability to sit for extended periods and perform tasks using hands and arms. Occasional lifting and moving of objects up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. This position is based in Eagan, MN.
