Payroll Supervisor Job Summary
The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for managing the payroll department's daily operations and ensuring that accurate and timely payrolls are processed for all employees in a timely and efficient manner. This position will manage the payroll staff, oversee payroll processing and reporting, provide customer service to internal and external customers, and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws.
Payroll Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of the payroll department, including the processing of semi-monthly payrolls and related reports. Ensure the accuracy of payroll information through review, audit, and analysis of employee time sheets, payroll records and reports. Maintain payroll system, including data entry, updating of employee information, and maintenance of electronic time tracking records. Ensure payroll is processed timely and accurately in accordance with federal, state and local regulations. Answer questions and provide customer service to internal and external customers regarding payroll matters. Ensure compliance with payroll-related regulations regarding wage garnishments, taxes and other deductions. Train and supervise payroll staff and ensure payroll staff is organized and meets deadlines. Maintain the confidentiality of all employee information and payroll records. Experience and Skills Payroll Supervisor Requirements and Qualifications
Prior payroll supervisor experience. Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations. Experience with automobile dealership payroll is essential. Strong organizational, communication and customer service skills. Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in CDK and payroll software.
