Senior Data Center Design Project Manager Job ID 229127 Posted 15-Jul-2025 Service line PJM Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Construction, Data Centers, Project Management Location: Remote - US About the Role: As a Senior Data Center Design Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the design process from campus planning to the issuance of construction drawings. This involves leading design teams, collaborating with Google’s internal resources and external design partners, and ensuring the smooth execution of construction project activities. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate planning and kickoff workshops with internal and external stakeholders. Assist with design reviews in partnership with external partners. Draft scopes of work for contracts and secure approval from stakeholders. Coordinate, track, and manage contracts effectively. Monitor project deliverables, costs, schedules, and report on progress. Manage changes to project scope and design contracts. Ensure quality through thorough checks of design issues in the BIM environment. Coordinate design activities with related procurement and construction efforts. Promote clear communication with all involved parties. Support project close-out processes, aligning final documentation with design partners and contractors. What You’ll Need: Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience; a combination of education and experience will be considered. Preferred certifications: LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM. Experience in data center design and/or construction is advantageous, with relevant non-data center experience also considered (e.g., healthcare, commercial buildings, laboratories, manufacturing facilities). Minimum of 1 year in design project management is required. Preferred professional licensure (PE, NCARB, RA, or equivalent). Strong knowledge of construction practices and ability to read architectural drawings. Exceptional judgment and analytical abilities; creative problem-solving mindset. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Strong interpersonal skills and advanced inquiry capabilities. Solid math skills and ability to calculate complex figures related to project finances. Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team. Additional Information: Please be aware that effective January 1, 2025, CBRE Project Management and Turner & Townsend have consolidated into a single global business entity. Compensation: The minimum salary for this position is $170,000 annually and the maximum is $195,000 annually. Compensation will be determined based on qualifications and experience, with eligibility for a discretionary bonus.
