DESCRIPTION The 31n Grant Funded Mental Health Therapist (Social Worker) will work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families to provide comprehensive social work services, including assessments, counseling, and crisis intervention. The Mental Health Therapist (Social Worker) will also serve as a liaison between the school and community resources to ensure that children and their families receive the support they need.
QUALIFICATIONS Candidates must hold one of the following valid licenses:
Licensed Master's Level Social Worker (LMSW) Licensed Master's Level Social School Worker Limited Licensed Master's Level Social Worker (LLMSW)
Proven ability to implement effective practices for working with students of all ability levels, including those with special needs Experience with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) frameworks, including the ability to implement and monitor interventions at various levels (Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3). Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with students, parents, and staff Strong communication, technology, and organizational skills ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direct services to children, individually and in groups, to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Conduct assessments to identify children's social-emotional needs and develop appropriate intervention plans. Collaborate with teachers to create and implement behavior management plans for students as needed. Facilitate communication between the school and families, providing resources and referrals to community services. Respond to and manage crisis situations, providing immediate support and intervention. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel to support the holistic development of each child. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) when necessary. Coordinate with external service providers to ensure that families have access to necessary resources, including mental health services, housing, food security, and more. BENEFITS
