Here are some key duties and responsibilities associated with CSR positions in insurance: Answering Client Inquiries: CSRs handle a variety of requests and inquiries from policyholders, including questions about insurance coverage, claim statuses, and billing issues. Providing Information: They walk clients through the details of their policies, such as coverage limits, exclusions, and premium payments. Resolving Problems: When clients encounter an issue, a CSR is a whiz providing solutions-whether it's related to claims, billing, or policy changes. Processing Policy Changes: CSRs ensure that the agency's clients have policies that are up to date. Providing Quotes: CSRs may help generate proposals, offering clients comparisons between different policies.

These duties highlight the importance of a CSR's role in maintaining positive relationships with clients while ensuring that their insurance needs are met.

Qualifications:

Strong communication, sales, and customer service skills Sense of initiative and follow through when possibly cold calling customers Good computer skills, including familiarity with Internet research, databases, spreadsheets, and word processing programs
