ESC has an exciting opportunity for a
Merchandising Coordinator
to support our premier retail client's Merchandising team. This is a
full-time hybrid position
in
Bolingbrook, IL . The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in supporting retail merchandising operations in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
In this role, you'll play a key part in executing merchandising activities across product setup, promotions, brand submissions, marketing proofs, and planogram support. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with category teams, marketing, pricing, and brand partners to ensure timely and accurate execution of merchandising processes that directly impact the in-store and digital customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Log and organize brand submissions and product samples; document feedback from core category teams. Assist with scheduling and coordinating brand/vendor meetings. Maintain and update SKUs as directed by the Merchant team, including shelf tag requests, description changes, brand charges, style codes, feature codes, store classifications, and markdowns. Initiate and enter promotional offers into internal systems, partnering with pricing to finalize and ensure SKU accuracy. Execute marketing sign requests, proof print and digital marketing assets, and input item data into email and homepage wireframes. Support planogram process by submitting pricing requests, setting up new SKUs, inputting markdowns, executing exit strategies (e.g., RTV/DIF), and proofing graphics. Prepare store communication memos and respond to help desk tickets with proactive and solution-oriented follow-up. Provide general administrative support including maintaining brand/vendor contact information, supporting meeting logistics, and assisting with ad hoc merchandising tasks. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Retail Merchandising or a related field (preferred). 2+ years of relevant experience in merchandising or retail coordination (a blend of retail and corporate experience is ideal). Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (v-lookups and formulas required). Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and execute accurately in a fast-paced business. High level of professional accountability and attention to detail. Creative problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset. Strong collaborator with internal teams and external brand partners. Previous experience in companies within beauty brands is a strong plus. Nice to Have
Experience supporting merchandising or marketing operations in an enterprise-level retail environment. Familiarity with promotional planning tools. Comfortable working with product display pages, marketing proofs, and SKU maintenance tools. Ability to anticipate process needs and proactively support executional excellence. Exposure to both digital and brick-and-mortar retail operations.
