Blu Omega is seeking an experienced Software Engineer with expertise in both client-side and server-side development to join our dynamic development team. In this senior-level role, you'll architect and implement full-stack applications using a range of technologies including Java, Angular, and modern frameworks. You'll play a critical role in building robust, scalable platforms and mentoring fellow engineers, while ensuring compliance within a structured and regulated development environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain cloud-based web applications within a structured development lifecycle. Engineer sophisticated solutions that address real-world problems, delivering measurable value to end users. Enhance deployment pipelines with a focus on automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Champion the use of modern engineering tools and best practices, including automated testing and CI/CD methodologies. Collaborate across cross-functional teams to align technical implementation with strategic goals. Analyze and validate system updates and component changes for potential impacts. Conduct thorough peer code reviews to maintain technical quality and consistency. Deeply understand user workflows and how technology can support them effectively. Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior and mid-level developers. Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years in software engineering, particularly in cloud-based SaaS products or regulated development environments. Proficient in Java, JavaScript, and relational database systems such as PostgreSQL. Hands-on experience with modern development tools and frameworks including Angular, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and Kafka. Familiarity with architectural patterns like Domain-Driven Design, Event-Driven Architecture, and Reactive Programming. Skilled in agile methodologies, including experience in remote-first team environments. Knowledgeable in tools like Jira and GitLab for release and lifecycle management. Clear and professional communicator with the ability to write and present technical documentation. Understanding of behavior-driven development and experience in enterprise-scale agile environments such as SAFe. Experience integrating AI-driven development tools (e.g., Amazon Q) is a plus. Background in healthcare, life sciences, or other highly regulated sectors is advantageous. Work Environment:
Flexible scheduling within a collaborative and supportive remote culture. Stable, high-speed internet access required for remote work. Occasional travel may be needed for in-person meetings or company events. Salary Range : $110K-135K (Senior Level) $140K - $185K (SME Level) Our final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance
