We are committed to advancing your career and look forward to supporting your professional growth. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DevOps Engineer (Contract-to-Hire) Location: Warren, NJ - Hybrid (Onsite 3x/week) - Must live Local Duration: Long term - Likely would be a 4-6 month contract with option to convert to perm, but could be a contractor for years if given the choice Rate : OPEN (W2 only) - Green Card or US Citizen a must Key Components: GitLab/GitHub Pipeline Construction Integration with JIRA Integration with testing packages (unit, integration, security, performance, accessibility, API/Contract, UI, ...) Containerization Regression Testing setup (data/code) Deployment and Deployment Strategies Observability Tools (logging, tracing, metrics) Overview: This is a high-visibility, greenfield opportunity to help architect and build out enterprise-level CI/CD pipelines at a critical moment. You'll work directly with leadership to standardize DevOps practices, integrate robust testing and observability tools, and help modernize a historically tricky environment. What You'll Do: Build, configure, and optimize multiple GitLab-based CI/CD pipelines across diverse applications Integrate testing frameworks (unit, integration, security, performance, accessibility, API/Contract, UI) Implement observability solutions (Grafana, ELK, or similar) Containerize systems using Docker and set up local developer environments Collaborate with product teams to educate, support, and help roll out standardized pipelines Contribute to long-term infrastructure strategy including container orchestration planning What We're Looking For: 5+ years in DevOps roles with strong pipeline-building experience Expertise in GitLab CI/CD required (GitHub/GitLab familiarity, GitHub Actions a plus) Deep knowledge of Docker and container management best practices Solid understanding of Linux environments ( AIX experience helpful but not required ) Familiarity with observability tools (Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or similar) Ability to work independently in a greenfield setup with minimal handholding Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration and onboarding support Why This Role?
