The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Human Resources Assistant
to support a broad range of personnel and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will provide critical support to HR operations including onboarding coordination, records management, and personnel action tracking. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated early-career professional to contribute to national security missions through federal HR support.
Assist with
onboarding and offboarding
activities including preparing welcome packets, scheduling briefings, and collecting required documentation. Maintain and update
HR records and personnel files
in accordance with federal guidelines and agency policies. Support the preparation and processing of
personnel actions
such as hiring, promotions, transfers, and separations. Draft and edit correspondence, reports, and internal communications. Assist with scheduling interviews, meetings, and training sessions. Enter, track, and manage data in HR systems and tools such as
SharePoint, ServiceNow , or similar platforms. Prepare and maintain
HR deliverables , such as checklists, forms, and training materials. Respond to general HR inquiries from staff and provide excellent customer service. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality in all tasks. Perform additional administrative tasks as needed to support HR operations and agency goals. Requirements
Education:
Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Experience:
0-3 years of experience in an HR support or administrative role. Prior federal HR or DoD experience is a plus but not required. Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint). Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and basic editing tools. Experience with SharePoint, ServiceNow, or similar systems is highly desirable. Core Competencies:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Ability to manage time and prioritize effectively.
Security & Eligibility Requirements:
Must be a
U.S. citizen . Must hold an active
DoD SECRET clearance . Must be able to comply with all security and privacy regulations applicable to DCSA operations.
Salary Description
60,000 - 80,000
