Position Scope and Organizational Impact
Moss is a family-owned construction company with revenues exceeding $1.5 billion annually. Its solar division offers turnkey, self-perform EPC services to utilities and developers across the US, with offices in Florida, Texas, and Hawaii. The Solar Project Engineer, Engineering Management, will support project electrical, civil, and mechanical designs for utility-scale solar projects, with opportunities to grow within the pre-construction team.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Review and learn solar power plant designs across electrical, civil, SCADA, and mechanical disciplines, supporting design calculations and construction methods.
Participate in client and EOR meetings, providing engineering support.
Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and EORs, managing submittals, material specifications, meetings, and communication protocols.
Maintain technical documentation and file sharing platforms, ensuring accurate and current records.
Assist the Engineering Lead in tracking project schedules and critical design milestones.
Travel to project sites as needed for meetings and issue resolution, approximately once a month.
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
0-1+ years of experience in solar construction or engineering management; solar experience is a plus.
Willingness to learn new engineering scopes.
Knowledge of solar electrical systems is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, AutoCAD, and Procore is a plus.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
