Lead compensation-related vendor management, including external surveys, benchmarks, and consulting partners specialized in energy compensation. Monitor regulatory changes, such as OECD BEPS, expatriate tax rules, expatriate social security, salary caps, and localization mandates, and adapt global comp strategy accordingly. Deliver training and guidance to regional HR teams on global comp processes, systems, job evaluations, grade structures, and compensation governance. Partner with Talent Acquisition to deliver clear guidance on evolving compensation trends, leveraging market benchmarking, salary survey data, and pay transparency laws. Create and facilitate training, workshops, and easy-reference guides (e.g. talking points, FAQs) to help Talent Acquisition, understand compensation frameworks, job levels and regional pay norms
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or Economics. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred. 10+ years in global compensation or total rewards roles, ideally in international oil, gas, energy, engineering, or resource-extraction industries. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, including cost modeling for global assignments and exchange rate sensitivity analysis. Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to present findings to senior leadership across cultures and regions. Familiarity with global compensation regulations, expatriate tax regimes, and employment/compensation compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
