Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants is adding a Manager of Financial Planning – Real Estate and CapEx to its growing Finance team. Reporting to the VP of Corporate Finance and Treasury, this position is responsible for supporting our Real Estate Development group, as well as responsible for corporate capital expenditure investment and mature restaurant capex. This position will work collaboratively with the Development team, our Director of Financial Planning – Real Estate, and cross functional partners to improve the level of analytical support to drive our investment strategy.

This position will be based at our Restaurant Support Center in Downers Grove, IL.

What You’ll Do:

Drive our capital expenditure decision making processes Work closely with our development, corporate, and facilities team to drive the annual strategic planning process, identifying, prioritizing, and analyzing key growth options Benchmark current and forecasted operational and financial performance relative to peers and other best-in-class companies Support financial analysis for our Real Estate Development group, IT team, and other cross functional partners with regards to capital investment Create process for all capital expenditure analysis and ROI calculations Create and drive analytics to support our site acquisition efforts Build market planning tools Enhance trade area assessment efforts Maximize effectiveness and efficiency of site analytics Model proforma sales, P&Ls and return metrics Fully leverage existing CH data, including our Wine Club member data, as well as effectively utilize third-party data and analytics capabilities for ROI purposes Help articulate our investment strategies to all relevant stakeholders through written and verbal communications in a polished and compelling manner Create financial tools, reporting mechanisms, business modeling and financial planning processes that will effectively scale with the company’s growth

What You’ll Need:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance required, MBA strongly preferred Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in business analytics, valuation modeling, decision support, and forecasting and planning required Demonstrated ability to delivery results by establishing high standards of excellence and personal drive to accomplish goals Excellent analytical, financial modeling (Excel) skills – demonstrate critical thinking, ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations Ability to demonstrate knowledge of financial measurement techniques (IRR, NPV, pro formas, etc.) Highly analytical and logical; skilled at problem analysis and resolution at both a strategic and functional level Ability to demonstrate acute attention to detail Possess a high level of intellectual curiosity and exceptionally strong problem-solving skills Must be innovative, a self-starter and a proven performer with a history of delivering results Ability to work with all levels of management, including senior leadership Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively in a matrix organization Able to deliver results under tight deadlines and at times with minimal direct supervision Strong computer skills to include Excel and other Microsoft Office products Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing, entrepreneurial environment Ability to work independently while under limited supervision Entrepreneurial attitude, goal driver, results focused with a strong bias for action and meeting deadlines

Compensation Range:

Compensation range is $100,000-$120,000/year + bonus potential. The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity.
