The Womenswear Designer is responsible for designing and managing the development of seasonal womenswear products, ensuring timely execution through all design and development stages. Roles and Responsibilities Design seasonal womenswear by researching market trends relevant to TravisMathew. Manage style development from concept to fit approval, including trims and applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on garment fitting and updates. Design special make-up unit (SMU) styles as needed. Develop tech packs in Adobe Illustrator for all designs, following procedures for handoff. Update tech packs and CADs after fittings, adhering to deadlines. Perform additional responsibilities outside seasonal collections as assigned. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Illustrator. Possess a strong sense of creativity in color, prints, and patterns. Have hand drawing, sketching, and painting skills. Manage multiple deadlines effectively. Adaptability to various projects and collaboration with design teams. Work cross-functionally with other departments. Maintain strong organization and attention to detail. Education and Experience Technical trade school or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years’ experience in apparel design.
