Position Overview WhirlWind Technologies, LLC is seeking an experienced Sr. System Administrator who will secure network and associated systems for the United States Census Bureau and customer organizations. Duties include but are not limited to: Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Will likely lead or direct others. Education Minimum BS/BA degree in related field (or equivalent years of experience) Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Enterprise or Security Preferred Requirements Minimum 8 years of related experience Creating or updating security infrastructure and continually monitoring networks for unauthorized access or suspicious activities. Work with company staff members to help them stay connected and keep their work devices secure while they are online. Design and operate a training program, Service Level Agreements (SLA's), and Standard Operating Procedures which help employees understand cybersecurity measures and best practices.
