Job Summary and Qualifications In this remote position, you will handle inpatient coding alerts/edits, mainly post-initial/final coding, and perform related activities according to established procedures. Responsibilities include: Managing daily work lists from various systems. Resolving alerts/edits following procedures. Updating notes and rerouting unresolved alerts. Escalating issues to prevent billing delays. Monitoring account aging and reporting to leadership. Collaborating with billing, revenue integrity, and Medicare teams. Assigning DRGs and completing mock abstracts. Assisting in resolving unbilled reasons and communicating coding revisions. Reviewing individual work performance and training needs with managers. Qualifications: RHIA, RHIT, CCS certification required or in process. At least 1 year of acute care inpatient coding experience (3 years preferred).
