Staffing Coordinator/Night Shift 7pm-7am/Including Weekends

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for coordination and documentation of staffing across Nursing Departments. Ensures that the appropriate numbers and skill mixes are assigned to each nursing unit to meet patient care needs, following target staffing plans and addressing specialized needs as directed by the Support Services Director, Nurse Managers, and/or Nursing Supervisor. Works in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous staffing experience and/or knowledge of healthcare environment required. Basic knowledge of PCs and Windows required. CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs duties and maintains interpersonal relationships to project a positive image of the department and hospital. Collaborates with supervisors, managers, and team members to promote a harmonious work environment. Ensures all interactions with patients, the public, physicians, and hospital staff are friendly, courteous, helpful, and considerate. Answers telephones promptly and courteously. Shows concern and provides assistance or explanations as appropriate to callers and face-to-face interactions. Committed to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Works with customers to identify and resolve problems.
