Internships are available within several Branch Offices in the Low Country/Trident Area ****THIS IS A TIME LIMITED ASSIGNMENT IN PARTNERSHIP WITH SC WORKS PAID INTERNSHIP PROGRAM**** Responsibilities of the Administrative Interns Job duties vary within the department and by the position. Please indicate the area for which you are applying by completing the supplemental questions in the job posting. • Greets and directs customers to appropriate areas in the office. • Answers customer inquiries pertaining to driver vehicle, registration, titling and insurance requirements. • Operates camera system to issue credentials, fax machine, SCDMV software and equipment necessary to assist customer. Minimum and Additional Requirements
Candidates for this opportunity will be employed by SC Works and will be selected based upon all guidelines set forth for the program including, but not limited to: • Must be at least 18 years of age. • Not required to be in school. • 30-40-hour weeks depending upon SC Works defined region and available funding. • Interns will be subject to qualification through an SC Works screening process. This process considers various factors such as household income, parent's education level, etc. • Candidates may also be required to complete an assessment to identify where additional training is needed. Preferred Qualifications Agency Preferred • Familiar with all standard office equipment (phones, fax, copier, scanners). • Able to provide excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics. • Ability to multitask with attention to details. • Ability to work with documents/files and exercise confidentiality. • Verbal and written communication skills. • Professional workplace etiquette.
