Join Our Team as a Field Service Engineer — Based in Orange County, CA

Position Overview: As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing installation, preventive maintenance, and repair services for a range of medical and industrial equipment. You’ll be the face of Quest to our clients—bringing technical expertise, professionalism, and a customer-first attitude to every interaction. Key Responsibilities: Perform on-site installations, scheduled preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs.
Troubleshoot complex issues to the FRU (Field Replaceable Unit) level.
Support the creation of technical bulletins and service procedures.
Provide remote technical assistance via phone and teleconferencing tools.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and feedback loops.
Coordinate your own travel and schedule for service visits and PM calls.
Manage accurate documentation of service reports and expense records.
Support shipping and logistics of parts when necessary.
What You Bring: Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience servicing electro-mechanical equipment.
Strong troubleshooting skills—especially with devices featuring intricate wiring and sensitive electronics.
Proficiency using service tools such as digital multimeters, vacuum/pressure meters, and frequency counters.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Willingness to travel: ~80% within California, ~20% out-of-state.
Must have the appropriate documentation to fly (Real ID, Passport, etc.).
Preferred/Bonus Qualifications: Experience with optical products.
Familiarity with command line tools, PowerShell, Active Directory/LDAP, and SQL.
Knowledge of wireless networking protocols (Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac).
