Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our growing team. Data Pipeline Development:
Design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into data warehouses or data lakes. Database Management:
Build and manage data architecture for optimal data storage, accessibility, and retrieval. Ensure the integrity and quality of data across systems. Collaboration with Data Science and Analytics Teams:
Work closely with data scientists and analysts to support data-driven decision-making by providing clean, accurate, and timely data for analysis and reporting. Data Integration:
Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring that the data infrastructure can support the needs of the business. utomation:
Implement automation for recurring data processes and tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Performance Tuning:
Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems and pipelines. Data Quality Assurance:
Perform data validation and integrity checks to ensure high-quality, reliable data. Documentation:
Maintain clear documentation of data pipelines, architecture, and processes to ensure clarity and ease of knowledge transfer. Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. Experience:
3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Architect, or similar role. Technical Skills:
Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar). Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. Expertise in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala. Familiarity with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, or Hadoop. Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Apache Nifi, Airflow, etc.). Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.). Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. Data Modeling:
Experience in data modeling and designing scalable, high-performance data architectures. Version Control:
Proficient in using Git or other version control systems. Problem Solving:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with machine learning pipelines and deployment. Familiarity with big data tools and technologies (e.g., HDFS, Hive, Impala). Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools. Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is a plus.
