Position Description As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that optimize and enhance our material handling systems. Position Description As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that optimize and enhance our material handling systems. Duties/ Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions into material handling systems, ensuring seamless communication and coordination between various components such as conveyors, robotics, sensors, and control systems. Create user-friendly interfaces for operators and maintenance personnel to monitor, control, and troubleshoot material handling systems. Work closely with Mechanical, Electrical and PLC engineers to understand system requirements, provide software support for hardware integration, and contribute to the overall system architecture. Configuring standard software components and creating application software that is used to direct and track product through a distribution or manufacturing facility, manage inventory and order fulfillment Meeting with both client and internal project teams to define applications and produce functional specification documents Lead efforts in debugging and troubleshooting software-related issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve problems and minimize system downtime. Delivering comprehensive customer training and support services Required Skills/ Abilities Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, C++, Java, or similar 4+ Years Experience in the material handling or WES/WCS industry MS SQL Server Database or equivalent Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment Excellent communication and documentation skills. Education & Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Work Environment On site time could be brand new construction (PPE required), brown field sites where working off hour shifts, and remote deployments. Physical Requirements Need to be able to drive (valid drivers license), fly anywhere in the US, and be able to climb stairs and pick up cartons/totes.
