Paving Superintendent
to oversee commercial, municipal, and DOT asphalt paving projects. This leadership position requires deep knowledge of paving operations, attention to safety, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to manage crews and workflows efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Supervise daily paving operations from start to finish, ensuring quality and efficiency Coordinate and direct crew members, subcontractors, and vendors across multiple active job sites Ensure compliance with safety standards and job specifications Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and grades Monitor project costs, materials, and schedules, providing updates to management Resolve field issues in real time while maintaining productivity Maintain accurate time and materials records for payroll and job costing Train and mentor crew members to meet performance expectations Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, inspectors, and clients Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; degree in Construction Management or related field preferred Minimum 7 years of paving experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role Proven experience with commercial, municipal, and DOT paving projects Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with B2W or similar project software a plus Strong understanding of construction layout, materials, and production planning OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR certification required (or ability to obtain) Valid drivers license required; CDL preferred Must pass pre-employment drug screening Availability for extended hours, nights, weekends, and occasional travel as needed Work Environment: Outdoor job sites in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, dust, noise) Exposure to moving equipment and potentially uneven or slippery terrain Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting required Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs Must be able to stand or walk for long periods on rough surfaces Requires good vision, hearing, and physical stamina Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience Full benefits package available after probationary period Opportunities for advancement based on performance Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO & more
