We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
Assistant Project Manager
to support ongoing commercial paving operations. This role involves a blend of field and office responsibilities, requiring strong coordination skills and an understanding of civil construction practices. The position will play a critical role in maintaining project schedules, quality control, and regulatory compliance while supporting senior project leadership. Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing all phases of paving and construction projects from planning through completion Conduct site assessments and support preparation of construction plans Collaborate with engineers, estimators, subcontractors, and field crews to meet project goals Maintain and manage project documentation, logs, and reports Monitor safety and quality control on job sites, identifying and correcting deficiencies Support coordination of traffic control measures and safety protocols Serve as liaison with stakeholders including clients, inspectors, and municipalities Help track costs and budgets, ensuring alignment with project scope and goals Assist in scheduling, resource allocation, and field-to-office communication Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel); experience with Adobe and B2W a plus Valid drivers license with clean driving history (3 years minimum) Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Frequently outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.) Regularly exposed to moderate-to-high noise levels Physical activities include walking uneven terrain, bending, lifting (50+ lbs), standing for long periods Schedule & Compensation
Full-time position with benefits Typical hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM
4:00 PM Winter schedule: 8:00 AM
4:00 PM 4555 hour workweeks during peak season (AprilMid December) Some Saturdays may be required based on project needs Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO & more. Additional Information
