Electrical Design Engineer
Apex Systems is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support the development and integration of electrical systems and components. This position is expected to be onsite in Oklahoma City, OK. This role focuses on cable and wire harness design, electrical product installation, and resolving production discrepancies. The ideal candidate will work under general direction and collaborate across engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure high-quality, compliant designs. Key responsibilities include: Develop and maintain cable and wire harness detail and assembly designs. Create and update electrical product designs, including equipment racks, power panels, antennas, and cable routing. Analyze design results and conduct formal design reviews. Provide engineering disposition for production discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests). Document processes, specifications, and procedures supporting the design and manufacture of electrical commodities. Develop basic statements of work for internal and external stakeholders. Participate in technical reviews of supplier capabilities to support source selection. Analyze functional and physical inputs to ensure complete and integrated design solutions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in an engineering classification or Master's degree with relevant engineering experience. ABET accreditation is preferred but not required. Education or experience in Electrical Engineering highly preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint 5+ years of related work experience is desired Active or recent U.S. Security Clearance (within the past 24 months) is strongly preferred but not required Shift Requirements: This role is 8 AM to 5 PM and will follow a 9x80 work schedule EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
