Scrum Trainer

Visa sponsorship is not available for this role * Job Summary The Scrum Trainer embeds agile principles and leads agile capability-building across the organization. In this role, you will build course curriculum and teach classes in a 'train-the-trainer' mode on scrum mastery, Product Ownership, being an agile team member, and so on. In addition, you will act as a Scrum agile coach for all roles across the organization's scrum team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Agile Training, Onboarding & Train-the-Trainer Lead periodic classes for new Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and team members, embedding Scrum.org values and empiricism from day one. Build and scale internal coaching capacity through train-the-trainer initiatives and peer coaching networks. Encourage and guide peer coaches to ensure consistency of education with the curriculum. Evolve all training content through structured feedback, maturity assessments, and learning outcomescovering Scrum, flow metrics, and tools. Coaching & Capability Building Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Developers in professional Scrum practices, role clarity, and team accountability. Enable high-performing scrum (PO, Scrum Master, Developers) by reinforcing shared responsibility and clarity of purpose. Support teams in improving Scrum events, backlog management, team norms, and technical excellence. Promote communities of practice for agile roles and delivery excellence. Flow and Performance Optimization Implement and coach teams on flow-based metrics: throughput, flow time, WIP, flow load, and efficiency. Support Product Owners in continuous planning practices to ensure backlogs are actionable and 3+ sprints ahead. Reinforce outcome-focused delivery through OKRs, forecasting, and measurable sprint goals. Organizational Change and Agile Transformation Lead agile transformation initiatives across Product, Engineering, Infrastructure/Ops, and Governance domains. Coach leaders on the agile mindset, prioritization, decentralization, and servant leadership. Foster shared accountability between Business Product ("what") and Technology Product ("how") functions. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department. Travel Requirements Travel Requirements: Less than 25% Education Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Preferred: Certifications from Scrum.org (e.g., PSM II/III, PSPO, PAL) Experience Minimum 7 Years of Agile training roles across complex, multi-team organizations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proven ownership of enterprise-level agile training and onboarding programs. Expertise in Scrum Strong Jira/Confluence proficiency and command of Agile health metrics (e.g., cycle time, velocity, WIP). Experience integrating agile delivery with portfolio governance, triage, and cross-functional planning processes. Experience managing agile enablement across multiple delivery typesKTLO, enhancements, greenfield builds. Background in DevOps, SRE, or automation initiatives within product-focused teams. Familiarity with agile maturity models and frameworks for assessing team capability. Empathetic Communicator
