Business Operations Manager - CBS Central Business Services
Administrative leadership position within the Central Business Services for the University of Kansas Medical Center. The Business Operations Manager will have responsibilities supporting the operational business units for the institution. This position is responsible for business services including administrative support of HR and business processes, financial management, analysis and consultation, and special projects as assigned. Job Duties Outlined: Supervise assigned team member(s) within Central Business Services. Foster growth and talent retention for administrative staff through functional alignment, defined career paths, and career development opportunities. Oversee team handling of billing, vendors, work orders, and suppliers for all CBS internal customers. Assist with the annual budget and quarterly forecast process, including collection of data from department and unit level managers to support the budget and planning process. Lead the development and execution of a campus-wide sustainability initiative, integrating sustainability throughout the campus. Works closely with relevant stakeholders to promote, engage, and improve sustainability initiatives and culture throughout the KUMC community. Serve and lead on departmental and/or KUMC committees as assigned. Assist with planning and execution of strategy team events focused on skill-building, professional development, and data training. Meet regularly with client leadership to advise and plan for business and fiscal affairs. Foster growth and talent retention for administrative staff through functional alignment and career development opportunities. Create business processes, systems, and workflows to be efficient and effective. Manage and prepare financial, operational, project, and ad-hoc reporting for the department. Manage business acumen to grasp complex concepts. Drive projects forward, provide structure and resources to leaders across KUMC. Make data-driven decisions. Preferred Qualifications: Education: Master's degree experience may substitute for a degree on a year-for-year basis. Work Experience: 7 years of relevant work experience. Experience in supervising staff or managing a department. Knowledge of Workday or ERP System. Experience with large, complex organizational settings. Skills: Written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical, problem solver and strategic planner. Organizational skills. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above. Pay Range: $75,000.00 - $115,000.00 Minimum $75,000.00 Midpoint $95,000.00 Maximum $115,000.00
