Warehouse Material Handler

Responsible for the safe, efficient, timely, and accurate movement and management of materials across receiving, shipping, and inventory. This includes receiving, storing, shipping, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products both internally and externally. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform safe, timely, and accurate receipt of purchased and manufactured goods, distributing them to designated warehouse or other areas according to established processes.

Report all discrepancies in quantity, location, or quality of received goods.

Process materials by verifying paperwork and quantities, opening and repacking products, proper storage, marking/identifying items, and preparing shipping documentation (packing slips, Bill of Ladings, labels).

Execute customary shipping activities, including banding, wrapping, and weighing product for customer delivery in a manufacturing setting.

Conduct inventory cycle counts and physical counts to maintain accuracy for manufactured and purchased goods, supporting min/max inventory replenishment systems.

Safely and efficiently operate pallet jacks, forklifts, cherry pickers, and other motorized/mechanical vehicles and equipment.

Work effectively in a teamwork-based environment, participating in cross-training for new and existing processes.

Adhere to all existing policies and processes, while also assisting in suggesting and implementing improvements.

Maintain exceptional organization and housekeeping standards within the warehouse.

Qualifications

Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and recognize similarities/differences between words/numbers. Ability to print, speak, and understand English. Capable of reading simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability: Possess common sense understanding to follow detailed written or oral instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands: Regularly required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Specific vision abilities include depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Ability to work continuously in a non-air-conditioned environment.

Job Performance Standards

Inventory Accuracy: Accurately locate and record all inventory movements, seeking out and reporting all discrepancies.

Documentation: Verify and provide accurate documentation for all inventory transactions.

Counting: Perform cycle counts and other counts accurately, identifying part numbers and locations.

Shipping & Receiving: Accurately label and ship product to customers per delivery requirements; accurately verify and record product received against packing slips and purchase orders, notifying supervisors of any discrepancies.

Safety: Follow all safety rules and operate equipment in a safe and conscientious manner at all times.

Teamwork & Flexibility: Display a positive teamwork attitude, cooperate with supervisors and co-workers, and exhibit flexibility/willingness to learn new technologies/techniques and processes.

Attendance: Adhere to attendance policies as defined in the employee manual.
