Saint Mary's Hospital Lab Waterbury, CT Please attach a resume You would be responsible to obtain blood specimens, to process laboratory specimens for clinical analysis and to provide patient information to the appropriate care giver. Your work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients. What You Will Do: Properly identifies patient per policy and performs venipuncture using standard/butterfly methods Labels all specimens following laboratory policy Receives/cancels/orders and processes laboratory/microbiology specimens Work Hours/Shift:
Per Diem Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and completion of phlebotomy program Nat'l Phlebotomy Certification preferred Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a blood draw station, ambulatory care or acute care setting. As per diem, must work 1 weekend at least every 12 weeks. No holidays During on-site Lab training must be available for an 8-hr technical training on day shift (8-4), M-F.
