Saint Mary's Hospital Lab Waterbury, CT Please attach a resume You would be responsible to obtain blood specimens, process laboratory specimens for clinical analysis, and to provide patient information to the appropriate care giver. Other duties include, but are not limited to, receiving patient specimens from the patient care units in Sunquest. Ordering laboratory tests. Scheduling and performing home draws via venipuncture. Ensures accurate and complete patient registration. Properly identifies patient per policy and performs venipuncture using standard/butterfly methods Labels all specimens following laboratory policy Receives/cancels/orders and processes laboratory/microbiology specimens 24 hours, Night Shift, e/o weekend and holiday rotations High school diploma or equivalent and completion of phlebotomy program Nat'l Phlebotomy Certification preferred. 1 year of experience preferred Our Mission and Core Values Great benefits and Health Insurance Coveragestarting Day One!
