Manager - Intensive Care Unit RN
Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL Shift: Mixed Shifts Salary: $95,000 - $110,000 (based on experience) Are you an experienced RN with leadership experience looking to advance your career? We are seeking a Manager of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to join our critical care team. This is an opportunity to lead a diverse ICU department at a high-performing hospital that values patient-centered care, teamwork, and staff engagement. Job Summary
As the Manager of ICU, you will ensure high-quality, patient-centered care by overseeing the daily operations and staffing of the unit. You will support the clinical team in delivering superior patient outcomes, manage resources efficiently, and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration. Key Responsibilities
Lead daily operations and staffing of the ICU to ensure quality care and patient safety. Collaborate with clinical teams to implement evidence-based practices and improve care efficiency. Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies. Manage admissions and discharges to ensure smooth patient flow. Promote a positive patient experience through staff engagement, mentoring, and development. Oversee the operational budget, manage resources, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of recent acute care leadership experience as a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager in Critical Care (relief charge experience not accepted). Associate Degree in Nursing required. Florida RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS required upon hire. Additional Information
336-bed hospital with a Level II Trauma Center. Manage a critical care unit with 42 total beds. Lead a team of 135+ staff members, including managers, RNs, nurse externs, and unit secretaries. One of two managers overseeing ICU/CVICU patients, including neuro, surgical, trauma, and respiratory cases. Benefits
