Job Title: General Manager - Eco-Friendly Dry Cleaning & Laundry Business

Location: Boise-Eliot Neighborhood, Portland, OR

Compensation:

This is a rare opportunity to join a new local business from the ground up and help shape a brand that redefines what sustainable dry cleaning means.

The Role:

We are looking for a passionate, hands-on General Manager to lead our daily operations and bring our ethos to life. You’ll be our in-store leader as well as our main collaborator, making sure every customer experience is five-star, every garment is perfect, and every team member is set up for success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be the face of the business and the primary point of contact for customers
  • Manage daily store operations, from intake to processing to pickup
  • Operate the Presso cleaning machine and manage its care and maintenance
  • Oversee and train staff on tagging, sorting, quality control, and order tracking
  • Ensure all orders are completed accurately and on time
  • Manage scheduling and daily labor tracking, when and as applicable
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve any service issues promptly
  • Handle tips reporting, manage tip pool distribution, and oversee POS systems

Who You Are:

  • 2+ years experience at a dry cleaner, laundromat, or similar client-facing service role
  • Strong attention to detail with a love for clean spaces and organized systems
  • Comfortable using modern software systems and tech tools, incl. troubleshooting
  • Reliable, positive, and excited to be part of building something new
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs and be on your feet for most of the shift
  • Comfortable working autonomously and driving your own success
  • Problem solver - able to come up with unique ideas to solve day to day issues with the best interest of the business in mind

  • Have prior management experience
  • Understand garment types and fabric care best practices
  • Someone who’s excited to have an evolving role that grows with the business

Schedule:

  • Full-time ( 40-45 hours/week)
  • Some weekends and evenings may be required as we grow
