Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)
Location: Chicago, IL
Pay: $42/hour
Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday-Friday (Rotating weekends as needed)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and certified Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to join our healthcare team in Chicago, IL . The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in all aspects of sterile processing, including tray assembly, sterilization, and decontamination. This role is essential to ensuring the safety and efficiency of surgical services and overall patient care.
Schedule:

• Hours: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Days: Monday through Friday
• Rotating weekends as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of sterile processing experience , including tray assembly
• Previous travel experience required
• Active CBSPD or CRCST certification (must be valid at time of submission)
• Experience with EPIC charting system

Key Responsibilities:

• Decontaminate, clean, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment (e.g., steam autoclaves, low-temp systems)
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and integrity
• Maintain documentation and instrument tracking logs
• Follow strict infection control standards and protocols
• Support operating room and clinical departments by ensuring timely instrument delivery
• Perform high-level disinfection of scopes and specialty items

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with Censitrac or similar instrument tracking software
