We are seeking a qualified Senior Quality Engineer with experience of working in a quality driven, precision component manufacturing environment.

Job Purpose:

As the Senior Quality Engineer you will be responsible for implementing and managing the processes, procedures, ISO compliance and standards, in the manufacture of helical form precision engineered components.

n

Working in collaboration with our UK team, you will play a crucial role in implementing efficient work practices and promoting continuous improvement to aid productivity.

n

Critical to this role is experience of working within an environment of multi-axis CNC machinery (Milling, Turning and Grinding) in metal cutting producing low volume high quality precision components.

n

Responsibilities:

n
    n
  • Implement effective quality systems to support ISO accreditation for the business.
  • n
  • Manage the full Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • n
  • Conduct internal and supplier audits and implement corrective actions.
  • n
  • Provide guidance and support to the CMM operators (Lietz measuring machine training provided).
  • n
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in quality, manufacturing processes, time efficiencies, and waste reduction.
  • n
  • Manage the calibration system, ensuring all required items are maintained in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and health and safety requirements.
  • n
  • Assist in monitoring and measuring performance levels and present ideas for improvements (MiniTab training provided as necessary).
  • n
  • Support non-conformance investigations, problem-solving, and 8D report writing.
  • n
  • Support adherence to work instructions and SOPs that standardize processes and promote safe and efficient working practices.
  • n
  • Oversee adherence to health and safety procedures and foster a safe working environment.
  • n

Requirements:

n
    n
  • Possess a good understanding of ISO 9001 requirements.
  • n
  • Demonstrable experience with Continuous Improvement tools and techniques.
  • n
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering principles.
  • n
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and assess component tolerances.
  • n
  • Experience working in a CNC metal cutting, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
  • n
  • Ability to motivate others to comply with Quality and Health & Safety processes and be an effective team member.
  • n
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • n
  • Ability to deliver long-term goals while also reacting to the immediate needs of internal and external customers.
  • n
  • Ability to conduct and facilitate quality investigations to identify root cause and implement corrective actions.
  • n
  • IT literate with strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Suite of programs.
  • n
  • Able to manage numeric information and use analytical tools to interpret and present data.
  • n
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations for an engineering environment.
  • n

Experience & Qualifications:

n
    n
  • Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent working experience in a Quality Management environment in either Engineering, Automotive, or Manufacturing.
  • n
  • Recognized qualification in Health & Safety.
  • n
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
