nFront Desk Medical Assistant (FD/MA) Location: Integrated Pain Management (IPM), Matteson, IL
nWe are seeking a Front Desk Medical Assistant (FD/MA) to join our team at Integrated Pain Management (IPM) in Matteson, IL. This role is critical in ensuring efficient patient reception, administrative support, and clinical assistance. The FD/MA will act as a liaison between patients and providers, contributing to a seamless healthcare experience.
nExperience Required:
nMinimum of 6 months in a similar role.
nCertification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not required (uncertified candidates with experience are encouraged to apply).
nHours
nMonday through Friday, starting at 8:00 AM and typically ending at 4:30 PM, with occasional late days extending until 6:00 PM.
nResponsibilities
nPatient Reception and Administration
nEfficiently manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
nAccurately verify patient information and insurance details.
nSchedule and manage patient appointments.
nAddress billing inquiries and process payments.
nClinical Support
nPrepare examination rooms and maintain cleanliness.
nAccurately take and record vital signs.
nAssist providers with medical procedures.
nPerform basic diagnostic tests as needed.
nPatient Care and Education
nProvide high-quality patient education regarding procedures and care.
nCommunicate effectively and empathetically with patients.
nDocumentation and Records Management
nMaintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
nPrepare and organize patient charts.
nComplete forms related to worker’s compensation and personal injury cases.
nCare Coordination
nCoordinate patient care with other healthcare providers.
nFollow up on referrals and external medical records.
nContribute to case management and care planning.
nSpecialized Tasks
nSupport in managing worker’s compensation and personal injury cases.
nAssist with occupational health assessments and documentation.
nCommunication and Coordination
nFacilitate effective communication between staff and providers.
nAct as a liaison to ensure smooth clinic operations.
nTraining and Development
nParticipate in ongoing training sessions.
nAssist in training new FD/MA staff.
nQuality Assurance and Improvement
nEngage in quality improvement initiatives.
nProvide feedback to improve office procedures.
