nThe Work
nLockheed Martin RMS is seeking a full-time Computer System Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for:
n• Developing, integrating and testing computer system operating environments
n• Deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting
n• Integration with external systems
n• Monitor performance and ensure system
navailability and reliability
n• Work within established configuration and
nchange management policies to ensure
nawareness, approval and success of changes
nmade to the Operating Environment infrastructure
n• Select and implement security tools, policies,
nand procedures
nThe successful candidate will also have experience developing test plans, and documenting results.

nBasic Qualifications:
n• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Sciences, Cyber Security or equivalent.
n• Administration/deployment experience with a Linux Operating System (RHEL6+ experience, preferably RHEL8+ experience)
n• Minimum 2 years experience developing and deploying software systems on Linux platforms.
n• Experience with modification of existing software to adapt and integrate it with other components in a larger system.
n• Proficiency with bash scripting and command-line interfaces
nDesired Skills:
n• Linux+, Security+ Certifications
n• Willing to travel domestically or internationally as needed.
n• Familiarity with the Agile development framework and tools, such as JIRA.
n• Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and platforms, such as GitLab.
n• Familiarity with Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and automated test framework technologies, such as Jenkins, Maven, Ansible and/or Robot.
n• Familiarity with configuration management and repository tools such as Git, Bitbucket and/or Artifactory.
n• Familiarity with automated deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications and associated technologies, such as Kubernetes, Rancher, Docker, and/or Podman
n• Familiarity with the development and deployment of cybersecurity capabilities, as well as system hardening.
n• Knowledge of Preboot Execution Environment (PXE) and its applications.
n• Understanding of hardware to software communications, including device drivers, firmware, and system interfaces
n• Experience with coding / scripting / automation
n/ orchestration platforms (Python, Ansible), including interfacing with APIs.
n• Strong leadership, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
n• Excellent technical writing skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex technical information in reports, documents, and other written materials
n• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).

nAbility to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
nWork Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
nSchedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
nPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $90,200 - $159,045. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
nBenefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
n(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
nThis position is incentive plan eligible.
