nWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced clinical setting. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth patient flow and delivering exceptional support to both physicians and patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and be able to effectively manage a variety of front and back office duties.
nOverview of the Role:

Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring their comfort.

Obtain and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and medical history.

Prepare patients for and assist physicians with exams and minor procedures.

Administer injections and perform phlebotomy.
n -
Perform effective telephone triage by evaluating calls for emergencies.
n -
Provide clear and thorough patient education on health care concerns, medications, and procedures.

Manage patient flow, verify demographic and insurance information, and collect co-pays and balances.
n -
Schedule patient appointments and manage referrals.
n -
Ensure all exam rooms are cleaned, stocked, and instruments are properly sterilized.

Maintain accurate patient charting and uphold strict HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications:
Qualifications
- n

2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant; OB/GYN experience preferred.

Bilingual in English and Spanish.
n -
Athena EMR experience is preferred.
n -
Skilled in identifying problems and recommending solutions.
n -
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

Exceptional communication skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships.

Physical Demands
nRequires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination; requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time; occasionally lifts and carries times weighing up to 50 pounds; requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range; requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
nCompensation:
nThe hourly rate for this position ranges from $18 to $22 per hour. Exact compensation will be determined based on the candidate's education, relevant experience, and location.
