The Packaging Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing a team of Packaging Engineers, overseeing the implementation of new products, owning the change management process for existing SKUs, and acting as a key facilitator between our customers, internal R&D staff, and vendors. This role offers corporate-wide responsibility and reports directly to the Senior Director of Business Development.

Team Management:
n· Ability to work well with internal teams, including sales, developers, engineers, quality assurance, and operations. Ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations.
n· Manage and lead a team of Packaging Engineers, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback.
n· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication, coordination, and alignment of project goals.
n· Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
nnNew Product Implementation:
n· Oversee the successful implementation of new products, from concept development to commercialization.
n· Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
n· Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Marketing, to drive project execution and meet customer requirements.
n· Identify and mitigate risks, anticipate challenges, and develop contingency plans.
n· Assess and address technical risks.
n· Serve as a product evangelist and subject matter expert to the technical/developer community.
n· Define success criteria for testing and product acceptance.
nnChange Management:
n· Own the change management process for existing SKUs, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption to production and customer satisfaction.
n· Collaborate with various departments, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Regulatory Affairs, to assess and implement changes efficiently.
n· Develop and maintain robust change management procedures and documentation.
n· Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation.
nnCustomer and Vendor Relationship Management:
n· Serve as a key point of contact and facilitator between the Company, customers, internal R&D staff, and vendors.
n· Understand customer requirements, gather feedback, and communicate effectively to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.
n· Develop and nurture strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, driving collaboration, cost optimization, and quality improvement initiatives.
n· Uncover and understand customer needs and translate them into requirements.
nnProduct Governance:
n· Develop and maintain product governance frameworks, tools, and metrics to monitor and report on project progress, risks, and performance.
n· Conduct regular product reviews and stakeholder meetings to ensure alignment and accountability.
n· Provide regular updates and presentations to senior management on product status, key milestones, and strategic recommendations.
n· Answer incoming questions about the product and its capabilities.
nnKEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
n· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
n· Proven experience (5-10 years) in a similar role within a manufacturing or consumer products environment.
n· Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
n· Excellent project management, development and execution of project plans, risk assessment, and resource allocation.
n· Strong knowledge of packaging engineering principles and practices.
n· Demonstrated experience in change management processes and techniques.
n· Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
n· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
n· Proficient in project management tools and software.
n· Experience in the aerosol consumer products industry is .
nnWORK ENVIRONMENT
nThis position will perform most job duties in an office environment where using a computer, software applications, etc. are essential.
